Good morning,
thank you very much for your interest. For first: I'm not speeking French - sorry for this - but English.
The PC_DIMMER can be translated without any problems. If you want, I can send you the nescessary files, so that you can translate it. You will need the Freeware Translation-Editor (
http://www.poedit.net/download.php) to edit the language-file.
Please tell me more about your show (what kind of show, what devices are you using). It seems to be very interesting.
see you,
Chris

we have 80 par, 5 archikolors, 1 aquakolor starway, 3 robocolor 400 martin and 2 clay paky golden spot 1200 and 3 LED PAR 86 MAC MAH so i must do fixture, it's not a problem

Hi,
tomorrow I will finish the work on the first beta of the new PC_DIMMER Version. With this version the work with a huge amount of fixtures will be much more efficient. I will compile this version and send it to you (together with the languagefile).
I will post the link here, when its done.
cu,
Chris

Hi,
the first Beta of the new Version is now uploaded. You can find it in the Download-Area of the PC_DIMMER-page, or use this link to download it from the sourceforge.net-page directly:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pcdimm ... e/download
The support for french-language is now added to the main-menu. After saving your default.po with poedit a new file named "default.mo" will be created next to the *.po file. This *.mo file can be copied to "[INSTALLDIR]\locale\fr\LC_MESSAGES\default.mo". The PC_DIMMER will start with the translated file so you can test your translations.
Thank you very much for your work
good night,
Chris

Hallo Christian,
wie bekommen die Plugins eigentlich mit, dass die Sprache umgestellt wurde bzw. wie sie eingestellt ist?

@blaubart:
English: the question was: "How will the plugins be translated?" In the upcoming version the plugins will receive a message on changing the language. So the programmer of the plugin has to manage all the language-related things. I don't see any other options, because the plugin-dlls are independent from the main program.
Deutsch: In der kommenden Version werden die Plugins beim Ändern der Sprache eine Nachricht über das Nachrichtensystem bekommen. Dann ist der Programmierer des Plugins für die Sprachänderung zuständig. Anders ist es glaube ich auch nicht machbar, da die Plugin-DLLs völlig unabhängig vom Hauptprogramm arbeiten.

Chris

Thanks for link.
Do you know an online translator to edit and manage .po/.mo files ? It could be great for users to contribute on PC_Dimmer translations.
What do you think of this ?

Hi,
I don't know, if there is an online-solution for this. I will search for a program, that I could install on my website - but I don't think, that this is possible. It will be easier to publish and update the files on my website and merge them with translated files by users (this is possible with the po-files).
User 1 could translate the first 100 text-strings, User 2 the next and so on. Afterwards the several po-files will be merged together to one single po-file.
good night,
Chris
