Pcdimmer Netwerk server problem

Hi, when I try to use pcdimmer netwerk server I get this error: "Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 0000000. Lesen von Adresse 0000000"

Hello senese,

I've tested the PC_DIMMER Server right now and it is working fine. Do you have installed the latest version? The latest version of the server comes with the current setupfile:

Please check the fileversion of the program-exe. It should be 4.0.3.22.


If you have the latest version, the try the following thing:
1. Open startmenu and click on run...
2. type in "regedit" and click OK
3. navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PHOENIXstudios
4. delete the complete folder named: "PC_DIMMER Server"

Perhaps there are some wrong settings... The message "Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse..." means "Access violation at address blablabla...". Are you using WindowsVista? If yes, then please click on the link to the PC_DIMMER Server with the right mousebutton and choose "Run as administrator". The Server needs access to the registry and WindowsVista denies this access so an access violation occurs.

Hi Chris,
I have tried everything, if I don't load any output plugins it's ok and work fine, but if I load output plugin i have this error.
I use win Xp and i tried it on 3 pc..

this sounds like a problem of outdated plugins. If you have time to test, please try the following steps:

1. Make sure that you have saved your PC_DIMMER-project in a folder out of the installationfolder.
2. Deinstall the PC_DIMMER over the "Controlpanel -> Software" option of Windows.
3. Then goto "C:\Program Files\PHOENIXstudios\PC_DIMMER" and delete the complete folder (all settings are saved within the registry, so your setup will be kept) - so all plugins will be deleted.
4. Start the setupfile of PC_DIMMER 4.6.0 and install the software again.
5. Try the server again. It should work now.


Which plugin (which dmx-interface) do you want to use exactly?

The PC_DIMMER DMX512 Plugin creates an accessviolation, when the libusb0-driver is not installed on the computer. This is unesthetic, but not a problem of the server. All other plugins should work without problems. If you want to use the PC_DIMMER DMX512 Interface you have to install the interface-driver first. You can download these drivers from my download-page.
